Liver claims frequently rest on trends rather than single results. Serial liver function tests, imaging, prescribing records and alcohol or viral hepatitis history together establish what should have been recognised and when. Alcohol history, prescribed medication and viral serology each affect attribution, and the report should separate them rather than treating the picture as a single cause.
