For practitioners
Join the register
expertsearch lists practitioners who accept medico-legal instructions, so that solicitors can find the discipline they need and approach the practitioner directly.

What a listing is
A listing describes your practice. It does not sell it.
You are instructed directly
Enquiries reach you from the solicitor, not through an intermediary. Scope, timescale and fees are agreed between you and the instructing party.
No introduction fee
The register does not take a commission, a percentage of your fee or a payment per enquiry. It is a directory, not an agency.
Your entry stays yours
You decide which disciplines and sub-specialties your entry names, and you can ask for it to be amended or removed at any time.
Discipline, not ranking
Entries are grouped by discipline and location. There is no paid placement and no ordering that can be bought.
Apply
Tell us what you practise in
Send your discipline, sub-specialties and the jurisdictions you cover. Registration details are confirmed before an entry is published.
- Discipline and any sub-specialties you accept instructions in
- Your regulator and registration number
- The nations and regions you cover
- Whether you accept claimant, defendant or single joint instructions
Application
Details are used to assess and publish your entry. They are not sold or passed to third parties.
After you apply
What happens next
Applications are read in the order they arrive. Registration is checked against the relevant regulator before anything is published, and we come back to you if a discipline or scope needs clarifying.
Once your entry is live it appears under each discipline you named, and within the nations you cover. Instructing solicitors contact you directly from that point.
