Listings

What the directory tells you

Each listing records the practitioner’s specialty, professional title, medico-legal experience, consultation location and assessment type. You can filter across those details, or combine them with a keyword search when the instruction is more specific.

Location then narrows a clinically suitable list. Where the right practitioner is outside your region, remote assessment or a longer journey may still be the appropriate option for the case.

A listing confirms that the practitioner accepts expert witness instructions in the stated discipline. Whether they suit a particular case, their availability and the terms of instruction are agreed directly with them.

Browse report types if you know the evidence required but need help identifying the right clinical discipline.

Questions answered

Frequently asked questions

How do the four search filters interact?

Each filter narrows the others as you choose, in whichever order suits the way you search - and the live count beside every option shows exactly how many listings a choice will return before you make it.

What does "Also available remotely" mean in the results?

A practitioner who assesses remotely can take an instruction wherever the claimant is based. When a location search finds few or no local listings, remote-capable practitioners appear in their own labelled group - always showing where they are actually based.

What can I see about an expert before making contact?

Sub-specialty, areas of medico-legal experience, consulting locations, assessment types and gender - everything a shortlisting decision needs, on the card, before any contact is made. Up to six listings can then be sent a single enquiry, with each expert replying to you directly.
